Fargo Public Schools District Office Teaching and Learning Secretary Idette Graham has been named the Fargo Public School District 2017 Support Staff of the Year. Superintendent Dr. Jeffrey Schatz made the surprise announcement and award presentation during a District Office staff meeting on April 28 to assembled staff, invited guests, and family members.
A Kindred, ND native, and an alumna of North Dakota State University, Graham began her employment with the Fargo Public School District in 2008 as the North High School activities secretary. In 2010 she assumed the registrar position at Davies High School, and began her current position in August of 2013. Prior to working for the Fargo School District, Graham worked for the Grand Forks Public School system, American Federal Bank, and Simonson Lumber & Hardware.
Idette Graham’s selection for Support Staff of the Year was based on recommendations that highlight Graham’s work ethic, “can do” attitude, leadership skills, collaborative working style, and problem solving abilities.
Graham is described as a skilled communicator, a team player, a professional multi-tasker. She is further described as reliable, efficient, trustworthy, dependable, and possessing an outstanding rapport with teachers, co-workers, and community contacts. Graham is repeatedly praised for her consistent focus on assisting others to improve the educational experience for our students.
Administrators tell how Graham “possesses a wide variety of expertise in skills and knowledge.” Additional comments from supervisors include phrases such as “her positive attitude is contagious,” “I can count on her to get the job done,” “she is organized and efficient,” and “she always delivers more than expected.” A colleague stated, “The valued work that Idette does is always behind the scenes to empower others to fulfill their responsibilities at a higher level.”
Idette Graham, Fargo Public School District’s 2017 Support Staff of the Year Award recipient, is an asset for Fargo Public Schools. She is dedicated, caring, and committed to being the best she can be for Fargo Public Schools and those she serves.
