Board members honor summer staff

Although the District’s buildings appear somewhat empty during the three-month summer break, the work activity by many FPS employees actually increases between early June and late August. More than 200 nine- and 10-month teachers and support staff take on different roles for the District during this time, including summer schools, information technology, and maintenance.

On Wednesday, the Board of Education  thanked Fargo Public Schools employees with a lunch picnic and door prizes at Oak Grove Park, for their work over the summer in buildings throughout the District. Board members grilled burgers and chicken, and served potato, pasta and fruit salads, chips, cookies, and beverages to the group, which numbered about 250 people.
