How good is your game? On Saturday, over 50 cadets in the District’s Air Force Junior ROTC program took control of the South High School gymnasiums and Commons area during unit ND-20061’s annual winter lock-in event. The lock-in is a day of competition between cadets, with physical and mental challenges and contests. It is one of the few opportunities of the year they have to gather together, designed to build esprit de corps.
Activities included basketball, flickerball, dodgeball, joust and sumo wrestling, Minute-to-Win-It contests and video gaming. The day also included an informal change-of-command ceremony for cadet unit leaders, and a pizza supper.
Members of ND-20061 represent all of the District’s high schools – Davies, North, South, and Woodrow Wilson. For more information on the unit, visit their home on the District website.
