Saturday, Nov. 19, marks the F-M First Nation’s Journey, “Walking With Our Youth,” a wellness event for the Native American community, as well as educators, counselors, social workers, and interested members of the general public.
The event, now in its second year, takes place from 8:30 – 5:00 at the FargoDome. This seminar covers health and wellness in Native American culture, and features keynote speaker Dr. Donald Warne, director of NDSU’s new Master of Public Health program, and member of the Oglala Lakota Sioux tribe.
First Nation’s Journey is sponsored by several community partners. It is coordinated by the Fargo-West Fargo Indian Education Program.
