The Arc of Cass County has announced that North High department chair and special educator Jolene Schue will receive its Teacher of the Year Award. The award recognizes a teacher who has demonstrated excellence in teaching students with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Schue was chosen for the honor for her professionalism, her ability to manage crises, advocacy for students and their rights, and her influence upon them as individuals. She will be presented the award in October at the Arcs annual meeting.
